Notary Public Stamp / Seal Requirements:
Rubber-inked stamp. The West Virginia State Seal is optional but commonly placed on the left. Required elements: The words 'Official Seal', 'Notary Public', 'State of West Virginia' and Notary name, (plus business name, if applicable), address and commission expiration date and a serrated or milled border.
Ink color should be capable of being reproduced clearly by black / white scan, photocopy or other visible and legible means. Stamp no wider than 2-1/2".
An embosser is optional (not in place of stamp) and should show the words "Notary Seal," Notary name, "Notary Public," and "State
of West Virginia."
